Torque News has learned more details about the upcoming Volkswagen I.D. Buzz electric vehicle. The Volkswagen Andretti Global Rallycross team clinched its second-straight manufacturer's championship as Scott Speed had a sensational weekend behind the wheel. Speed took both series races Saturday and Sunday at Atlantic City's Bader Field where the race series setup quarters for the weekend.

Tanner Foust enters this weekend's edition of the Red Bull Global Rallycross stop at Bader Field in Atlantic City with a target on his back. Foust's teammate on the VW-Andretti Rallycross team Scott Speed is only 26 points behind Foust for the lead in championship points.

Volkswagen is doubling down on an incentive plan to get older diesel models off the road in Europe. Though the automaker has been reluctantly yielding ground to the idea of incentives, last week's German diesel car summit brought agreement from the three major diesel manufacturers in Germany to offer incentives to remove diesel vehicles that meet only Euro 1 to 4 air standards off the road.

The VW Andretti Global Rallycross team continued its winning ways with a 1-2 finish for drivers Scott Speed and Tanner Foust, pilots of the Beetles that took the event. The win helped VW to extend its lead for the manufactuer's championship while Speed regained sole possession of second place in driver points following first place Foust.
