Since Fiat has taken majority control of the Chrysler Group from the US Government there hasn’t been much talk of Chrysler ownership but with the upcoming 2013 Dodge Dart reportedly hitting 40 miles per gallon in preliminary testing late last month – Fiat has met the final requirement set forth by the feds when Fiat purchased the first piece of the American automaker in 2009.

Two new interior teasers of the 2013 Dodge Dart appear online

When the Chrysler Group unveiled the first interior teasers of the 2013 Dodge Dart, the focus was on the high tech center stack and gauge cluster but on the 2013 Dart teaser site, Dodge has quietly added two new images showing the door panel and what looks to be a seating surface of the new C segment sedan.

Another 2013 Dodge Dart teaser surfaces on Facebook

This morning, the Chrysler Group unveiled the second group of 2013 Dodge Dart teasers, this time focusing on the center stack and gauge cluster of the new C segment sedan but around 6pm eastern standard time, Dodge posted another interior shot of the 2013 Dart on their official Facebook page - offering us a closer look at the whole dash layout.

Chrysler CEO: 2013 Dodge Dart will get 40mpg

Yesterday, the Chrysler Group offered up the first official information on the new 2013 Dodge Dart including a couple tightly cropped teaser images and a brief mention of the engines available at launch but while speaking yesterday with Reuters, Chrysler/Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne declared that the new Dodge Dart will be the first Chrysler Group vehicle to offer 40 miles per gallon.

Marchionne: no more Dodge Caravan after 2012

Chrysler and Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne stated at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show that one of the popular Chrysler Group minivans would be terminated in an effort to avoid brand redundancy and it now appears that it will be the Dodge Caravan lineup that meets its maker – effectively ending the incredibly dominating 27 year run by the vehicle that introduced the world to the minivan.
