Ford and Ferrari settle F150 trademark lawsuit

Ford Motor Company has settled a lawsuit with Ferrari over the naming issues of the race car originally known as the Ferrari F150, with the Italian supercar maker changing the official name of the car to the Ferrari 150 Italia.

Lost fingers, jobs not uncommon at Chinese plant making Ford parts

Making 80 cents an hour for a 14-hour day and having to work with safety systems off leaves some Chinese workers maimed by the machines they operate. Compensation for three lost fingers - $7,430. Those with injuries too severe are summarily let go.

I recall at least 413 cubic inches while other models had Hemi-head engines.

This one looks like a 413 with that dual cross-over manifold with twin 4 barrel carbs.

Update: My brother-in-law Joe Gibbs reminded me via Facebook that the name for that intake manifold system was "Ram Induction." I think he's right.

Super-Modified Chrysler Imperial vs. Original Model

For the record, Imperial as a marque was always sold in Chrysler dealerships and never in distinct Imperial dealerships. So, the nameplate failed to separate itself as its own marque as a consequence.

This custom version retains the width but with a much shorter wheelbase. It caught everyone's eye when it drove in on set-up night of the Detroit Autorama 2011.

AAA announces their Top New Technology Picks for autos

The Orlando headquarters of AAA today released its biennial list of top picks for new vehicle technology. Analysis by automotive experts at the nation's largest motor club identified a variety of technologies that improve safety, increase performance and reduce the environmental impact of some new models.
