Team Lotus buys Caterham, Group Lotus doesn't, Caterham Seven gets new old colors

Things have come full circle at Lotus, it would seem, as Lotus buys Caterham Cars, the builder of the Caterham Seven. Except that the Lotus that bought Caterham isn't the Lotus that sold Caterham the rights to build the Lotus Seven, though only with the Caterham badge.

New bi-fuel system allows propane to burn in diesel engines

Icom North America, a pioneer in alternate fuel systems, is taking the economy and environmental benefits of a liquid-injection propane system to diesel-powered vehicles this year. The company's new JTG-Dynamic System, revealed at a recent National Propane Gas Association convention in Atlanta, enables vehicles to run on either diesel fuel or a 50/50 mixture of liquid-injected propane and diesel fuel.

Hybrid, clean-diesel sales surge in March

According to auto analysis firm Baum and Associates, high gas prices and a recovering economy led to a 46 percent increase in hybrid and clean diesel sales in March 2011 compared to March 2010, a jump about three times higher than the increase in the overall auto market.
