The AIAG nonprofit performance-enhancement group for manufacturers is partnering with SAE International to launch a joint global sourcing engineering certificate program to benefit the automotive industry, the groups announced Wednesday.

America will spend $6 billion again to subsidize ethanol

A Republican senator from Oklahoma and a Democratic senator from California sought Tuesday to end a $6-billion, 30-year-old subsidy of ethanol by July 1, but the proposal was resoundingly defeated by the U.S. Senate, 59-40.
