As an automotive journalist, I read a lot of articles about cars, especially electrified ones. I also spend a lot of time driving them, having owned nothing but electrified vehicles the last 12 years (15 if you count the 3 years I commuted on an electric bike). There’s a lot of conflicting information out there about how much plug-in cars really lower our emissions or save money and other resources, and depending on what you read, it is easy to get the wrong idea.
