1951 Chevrolet Business Edition took me by surprise; not that the car wasn't worthy. Again nice to see suchan array of vehicles contending for the Ridler this year
1939 Ford Convertible - contender for Ridler as a Great 8 Finalist

The 1939 Ford convertible is a clear contender for the Ridler. It is this year's only '30s era vehicle in the running.
1962 Corvette - Pirelli Great 8 Finalist for Ridler Award

That other Corvette had a far-more outlandish paint, but this '62 Corvette made the Pirelli Great 8 cut for the Ridler Award at Detroit's Autorama 2011.

Having owned a number of '55-'57 Chevys in my day, I'm glad to finally see one contend seriously for the Ridler.
2011 Detroit Autorama Great 8 Finalist - 1947 Chevrolet Pickup

Named the N-VEEE, this 1947 Chevy pickup has a sea-foam green color simlar to a Ford vehicle in last year's contention for the Ridler.
I thought RamRod, a Dodge pickup, might win last year; it didn't. Perhaps this time.
