The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced that they have upgraded their preliminary investigation of the 2006 and 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer to an engineering analysis while also adding the GMC, Buick, Saab and Isuzu, a move which could lead to a recall of 341,786 vehicles in the US.

The press days of the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show start tomorrow on Nov. 29 and while almost all the Japanese car makers have world premiers lined up to debut at the show, these three big brand names surprisingly don't have any world premiers.

The UAW-General Motors contract has most of the rank and file optimistic about the state of GM, but their jubilance is tempered by the official shutdown of a factory in Shreveport, La. Closing Shreveport Operations for good was the "saddest part" of negotiations, UAW negotiator Joe Ashton told reporters today.
