Complete 2019 Dodge Challenger Production Details

Work for Torque News, follow on Twitter, Youtube and Facebook.

We have already looked at Hellcat production numbers for the 2019 Dodge Challenger, but here is a look at the rest of the lineup, along with a second look at the numbers for the supercharged models for anyone who missed them the first time.

We often talk about sales numbers for the Dodge Challenger, but there is an individual who goes by PLMCRZY in the online Mopar community who provides production numbers. FCA (and other automakers) do not offer detailed production numbers, so there are no official production numbers and this has been true for years. Since there are no official numbers available, the numbers posted by this internet name of mystery have become the trusted figures. Of course, FCA won’t officially confirm any of these numbers, but in speaking with some insiders, they stated that this person’s production numbers appeared to be accurate.

In other words, these aren’t official numbers from FCA, but they are the best numbers that we have and this is the same source that we have been using for Challenger and Charger production since 2015.

We talked about the production numbers for the 2019 Hellcat Challenger back in December, but since then, we have gotten a great many questions about the other models. With that in mind, we found the PLMCRZY numbers for the rest of the 2019 Challenger lineup. Before, you will find the production numbers for the whole family of Mopar muscle cars.

Challenger SXT and GT
First up, we have the production numbers for those Dodge Challenger models powered by the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6. This includes the SXT and GT, each of which has a rear- and all-wheel-drive variant.

The Challenger SXT was the bestselling model with 31,064 units produced for all of the global Dodge markets. This includes, the United States, Canada, Mexico and unspecified areas outside of North America. Those were all rear-drive models, but there were also 5,292 examples of the SXT AWD produced for the 2019 model year as well.

Dodge also sold 5,578 units of the Challenger GT in rear-drive and another 3,520 GT AWD models.

In total, there were 45,454 2019 Dodge Challengers produced with the Pentastar V6.

The 5.7L Hemi Models
There were three models with the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 offered for the 2019 Dodge Challenger, including the R/T, the R/T Shaker and the T/A. Dodge produced 14,849 R/T models, 934 R/T Shakers and 339 R/T-based T/A Challengers, for a total of 16,122 Mopar muscle cars with the 5.7-liter Hemi. Again, those are totals for the entire world, not just the United States.

392 Hemi Models
Next, we have those 2019 Dodge Challengers which are powered by the 6.4-liter, 392-cubic inch SRT Hemi. This 485-horsepower mill was offered in six models for 2019, including the limited edition Mopar ’19. The volume model with this engine in 2019 was the R/T Scat Pack with 5,486 units produced for global consumption, followed by the R/T Scat Pack Widebody with 4,490 units. There were 1,701 392 Hemi Scat Pack Shakers built for 2019 and 1,054 examples of the drag race-ready 1320, along with 655 392 T/A models and 100 Mopar ‘19s.

In total, there were 13,486 2019 Dodge Challengers produced with the 392 Hemi.

Supercharged Challenger Sales
Finally, as we reported back in December, there were 1,134 2019 Hellcat Challengers with the standard body and 1,361 with the widebody package, along with 604 standard-width Redeye models and 3,353 Redeye Widebody Challengers. This leads to a total of 6,452 supercharged Challengers built for 2019.

This article is missing the 137 Stars and Stripes edition of the total Challengers made with the 392. So their total is 137 short. Even though they have a picture of a Challenger with the Stars and Stripes edition.

I have searched to find out how many cars were produced like mine...I have not been able to determine this. I have never seen another one just like mine. Can you tell me how many 2019 Challenger Octane Red with the 392 engine and the TA option. Just curious. I love the car...performance and especially the outward look. Thanks
