A new video reveals Tesla has added two novel Cybertruck features through an over-the-air software update. The vehicle now does a new startup light sequence and automatically raises & lowers the suspension to increase accessibility and ground clearance.

At this point, it feels like we know everything there is to know about the Cybertruck. With only 3 days left to go until the Cybertruck delivery event, we’ve tons of details about the all-electric truck.

We’ve confirmation from a Tesla manager that the Cybertruck will have a 123KWh battery pack, we’ve seen a Cybertruck showing a 267-mile range on a full charge. We know that the Cybertruck will feature a 48-volt low-voltage architecture and an 800-volt high-voltage architecture.

We know the Cybertruck has a second screen for rear passengers and that the vehicle has 4-wheel steering and steer-by-wire dynamic variable steering ratio steering wheel mechanism.

We know the Cybertruck is bulletproof to a Tommy gun and is impenetrable by a hunting bow and arrow shot from close range. We also know the Cybertruck will have an air suspension with industry-leading 14 inches of suspension travel.

Given everything we know so far about the all-electric truck, it has become rather rare to witness a never-before-seen Cybertruck feature.

However, thanks to omg_Tesla/Rivian on X, we have got a confirmation of two never-before-seen Cybertruck features.

In the video embeded below of a Cybertruck that just finished supercharging at night, you can see the vehicle perform these two new acts.

When the Tesla engineer opens the door, the front light bar does this beautiful light sequence. The LED starts to light up from the middle and continues outwards and once completely lit, the light bounces to the middle of the LED bar.

To our knowledge, this is the first time a Cybertruck has been spotted doing a light sequence when entering the vehicle.

This is exciting however, admittedly it’s a small feature that shouldn’t meaningfully impact the Cybertruck’s overall usability or performance.

However, the next feature seen in the same video has the chance to be more useful. If you watch the video carefully, you can see the Cybertruck’s air suspension lower the vehicle as the Tesla employee makes his way into the truck.

Following, once the driver closes the door, the Cybertruck automatically raises its height to give the vehicle more ground clearance. Given the Cybertruck’s size and the fact that the truck at its highest suspension setting is expected to have more ground clearance than any vehicle in its category, this feature will undoubtedly come in handy for anyone who is not too tall or has children trying to get into the vehicle.

Elon Musk, when he unveiled the original Cybertruck prototype back in 2019 promised the vehicle will have the capability to automatically lower to allow easy access. It’s nice to see Tesla keeping even the finer details of the original prototype.

Given the fact that there have been so many Cybertruck spottings in the wild, the fact that we saw, the light-up sequence and the suspension automatic raise and lower feature, only a few hours ago, suggests that these might be features added recently through an over-the-air software update.

Tesla appears to still be working on the Cybertruck and we’ll be sure to keep you posted as the EV maker adds more features to the all-electric truck. Until then, make sure to visit our site torquenews.com/Tesla regularly for the latest updates.

So what do you think? Excited to see the new light-up sequence and automatic suspension raising and lowering features? What additional features do you wish to see on the final Cybertruck version? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
