Traffic fatalities fall to the lowest level ever

Americans are driving more – roughly 21 billion more miles just last year. Despite more cars on the road logging more miles annually U.S. highway fatalities in 2010 dropped 3 percent from the previous year to the lowest levels in recorded history.

Top Buick/GMC dealer attracts 30 percent of business via mobile apps

The appropriately named Sellers Buick/GMC has been designated the top dealership for that brand in the country. They are not in Los Angeles or Chicago, but rather Farmington Hills, Michigan, about 90 minutes from Detroit’s Wayne County Airport. Using the services of a firm called Search Optics they racked up over $80 million in sales during 2010.

Ford tops everyone in March 2011 sales, Lincoln still struggles

Ford Motor Company sold 212,777 vehicles in the month of March, giving the company a 19.2% gain over March 2010 but more importantly, in selling this many vehicles, Ford Motor Company was the sales leader in the US market with the Ford brand leading the way.

Ford idles Mustang plant, Louisville truck plant in wake of Japanese earthquake

It has been almost a full month since the earthquake, tsunami and string of nuclear explosions rocked the Japanese auto industry and this week, Ford Motor Company has stopped production for the week of April 4th at their Louisville truck plant and the Flat Rock Mustang plant due to part shortages from Japanese suppliers.
