Are Subaru vehicles reliable? A new report says the 2022 Impreza is now Subaru’s most reliable model.

What are the most reliable compact cars for 2022? According to a new report from iSeeCars, the 2022 Subaru Impreza is one of the top three new compact cars you can buy now.

The updated report says the Honda Civic is the most reliable, with an iSeeCars reliability score of 9.1 out of 10. Next is the Toyota Corolla, with a score of 8.5. The 2022 Subaru Impreza is third with a score of 8.0.

iSeeCars says, “The Subaru Impreza offers standard all-wheel drive, impressive interior and cargo space, and a fun ride. The Impreza achieves Subaru’s characteristic high safety score and includes standard safety features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking.”

The average new 2022 Impreza price is $23,610, and the average 3-year-old used price is $23,238. With the shortage of new cars, it is best to order a 2022 Impreza, or you will pay near new car prices for a lightly used model.

What is the price of all Impreza trim levels?

The 2022 Impreza comes in four trim levels for customers. The seven different models come in base sedan ($19,755), base hatchback ($20,255) Premium sedan ($23,155), Premium hatchback ($23,655), Sport sedan ($24,555), Sport hatchback ($23,955), and Limited hatchback ($27,355). Destination and delivery ($960) are included in the prices above.

Subaru recently added $500 to all new Subaru models ordered after April 26, 2022. Get the full report here.

What is the fuel mileage of the Impreza?

The EPA says the 2022 Subaru Impreza gets 31 mpg combined city/highway and 28/36 city/highway mpg in the non-Sport CVT trims. The 2022 Impreza 4-Door sedan with the 5-speed manual gearbox has the same fuel mileage. The 2022 Impreza 4-Door sedan gets 26 combined city/highway and 23/31 city/highway mpg in the non-Sport CVT trims.

What sets Impreza apart from the competition?

The Impreza comes standard with Subaru’s Symmetrical all-wheel-drive system for all-weather performance, rides on the new Subaru Global Platform with improved driving dynamics, and Eyesight safety technology is available on all automatic transmission models. Impreza can still be ordered with a 5-speed manual transmission.

Can you find a new Impreza with the recent model shortages?

A 2022 Subaru Impreza will be hard to find this spring as most models in transit are already pre-sold. Subaru shut down new orders for Impreza for the remainder of the year, and you may have to wait for the 2023 models.

It will be worth the wait because the 2023 Subaru Impreza gets a complete redesign. The next-generation 2023 Impreza will likely come with the new EyeSight X driver-assist safety technology. Recent reports not confirmed by Subaru say the compact car could get a new 1.5-liter turbocharged engine. The next-generation Impreza will arrive in early 2023.

You should note in your article that "reliability" is judged by how many used cars are for sale of particular types with over 200,000 miles -- which doesn't mean a thing except people are getting rid of their cars, for reasons unknown.

A aging 2022 model Impreza is the most reliable Subaru. Ok, you're an idiot and you might want to rethink your life choices. Don't get me wrong I own 2 Subarus, and the newest one 15 yrs old. Saying that anything that is less than a year old is the most reliable, is pure sales vomit. You might as well tell me that I'm beautiful and I smell good, before spewing that crap. And no, I don't plan on buying any of the junk Subaru is currently producing, they clearly have leadership issue internally. Which is a shame, they were once a innovator and a marketing powerhouse in motorsports. Please stop this nonsense a give the people something to really chew on and enjoy.

I own a 2022 impreza hatchback, I've put 23k miles. I think you haven't been inside or driven a new car from subaru. They are extremely high in reliablility due to so many things. From AWD, to a comfortable ride due to their boxer engines, beautiful interior, and top of the notch adaptive cruise control. On top of that they give you great tires compared to toyota and hondas.
