Introducing Tesla's New S.3.X.Y and Now C - Vehicle Lineup: And, There's More To Come

Tesla has a new vehicle lineup that has grown from its S.3.X.Y. vehicle lineup by adding a C. These vehicles make up Tesla's all-electric vehicle lineup.

Tesla's New S.3.X.Y Vehicle Lineup

Tesla has a new vehicle line up, and there are some changes to it recently with two vehicles.

The Tesla Model S is part of this vehicle lineup. This is the vehicle that put Tesla on the map, and it was released on June 22, 2012. After the original Tesla Roadster, Tesla needed to continue to drive the price of its vehicles down with its luxury sedan.

Next came the Model X SUV, which is also a compelling EV with plenty of space. This vehicle was released on December 18, 2015. This was Tesla's luxury SUV and doubled Tesla's total vehicles at the time to 2. The new Model 3 performance is coming later this year most likely.

Then came the Model 3. Tesla couldn't call this vehicle the Model E due to a trademark with Ford having the name of this vehicle. So Tesla simply reversed the E to a 3 and used that. This was Tesla's most affordable car by far, a semi-luxury sedan, and the base version was introduced at $35,000.

If you buy the base Model 3 RWD today, you are paying less than $35,000 in inflation adjusted dollars!

New Model 3, Then Y, Then C

There is a new Model 3 available for both the RWD and Long Range variants. Even though neither of these gets the $7,500 U.S. tax credit, these vehicles are in high demand - especially the Model 3 Long Range, also known as "Highland."

Tesla made massive updates to the Model 3 and the demand went up. It goes to show that a compelling EV will have demand if the price is right.

Next came the Model Y, which was a semi-luxury SUV that is very affordable today, considering that you get a $7,500 U.S. tax credit at the point of sale of the vehicle.

The Model Y is likely to get an update at the end of 2024 in China and in 2025, the "Juniper" Model Y should come to the U.S.

This vehicle is a bestseller - and leads the world in vehicle sales, among gas, hybrid, or any EV that is sold, cementing it as the worldwide king of vehicles.

The last and newest vehicle that was added last November, to the Cybertruck lineup, was the Cybertruck. This vehicle addresses the pickup market for Tesla.

Tesla's plan is to address every single segment of vehicle and now the pickup truck is addresses, meaning Tesla is addressing these markets:

* Luxury sedan
* Luxury SUV
* Affordable sedan
* Affordable SUV
* Pickup truck

The Cybertruck is known for its stainless steel exoskeleton, incredible steer-by-wire driving, and epic sound system.

Tesla has yet to address the compact and sub-compact vehicle segments, as well as a van and a bus. I expect those to come over the next 5 to 10 years.
