The Easter Jeep Safari special show vehicles are announced

Every year, the Chrysler Corporation sponsors the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah with thousands of hardcore off-roaders coming from around the country to show off their machines and Jeep makes its presence felt each year by bringing out a handful of Mopar-modified models sure to turn heads.

The 2011 Easter Jeep Safari will take place from April 16th to the 24th and this year, Chrysler’s performance group Mopar will bring out 8 modified vehicles – 7 from the Jeep brand and 1 from the Ram truck division. Mopar CEO Pietro Gorlier offered this comment on the division’s involvement with the Easter weekend off-road festivities:
“From full engine packages to slush mats, Mopar has everything for the avid off-roader. In fact, Mopar covers the spectrum with more than 280,000 proven quality-tested parts and accessories that allow customers to personalize their Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram and Fiat vehicles.”

Mike Manley, front man for the Jeep brand, had this to say about the annual off-road bash:
“The annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari provides us a perfect opportunity to interact with our most loyal fans in a true Jeep setting. We are able to demonstrate and test new potential Jeep production and customization ideas at our away-from-home proving ground, while getting instant feedback from our customers.”

This year’s modified show vehicles headed to Moab from Mopar, Jeep and Ram range from production vehicles with customer-ready, street legal add-ons to outrageous concept vehicles with features that we are not likely to see at dealerships anytime soon (like a 6.4L Hemi-powered Wrangler). However, these vehicles do a fantastic job of showcasing the various accessories available to the Chrysler Group trucks and SUVs, while using those items to show off just how capable these vehicles can be using only company-offered components.
