The Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona is coming up. And this event always has amazing, eye-popping dream cars. Not to be left out, Shelby American will debut a special “Bold” edition Super Snake at Barrett-Jackson.

Ford’s partnership with Shelby has helped keep the Mustang relevant for performance enthusiasts who strive for as much power and performance as possible. And certainly the Shelby Mustangs have been historically some of the most powerful pony cars ever manufactured. These special edition 2020 Ford Shelby Super Snake with the “Bold” package will be one of the most appealing and highly sought after cars manufactured by Shelby. With limited production and only three colors available, the 2020 Bold Package Shelby Super Snake will be an instant classic.

What colors are available on the Shelby Super Snake Bold Package?
Only 30 of these gorgeous special-edition Super Snakes will be built in the U.S. and will come in only three colors. Each color has special historical relevance to the legendary 1970 Shelby Cars. According to Shelby, the 2020 Ford Shelby Super Snake will be available in the following colors:

• Shadow Black with Green stripes and Green interior accents
• Green Lime with Black stripes and Green interior accents
• Green Lime with Black stripes and Green interior accents

These retro colors carry over inside to match the interiors. The seats will be emblazoned with the matching exterior color and the Super Snake logo which is embossed on the seat will also be in the same color. This special touch will surely make this car special to collectors.

What are the performance numbers of the 2020 Ford Shelby Super Snake?
Shelby said in a press release, that this was best performing Super Snake in the company’s history. That’s a bold statement coming from such a performance-driven brand like Shelby. A supercharged 5.0-liter Coyote engine will scream out 825 horses. The Shelby custom cooling system will keep the power controlled and optimized. The Penske suspension system will keep this car stable and increase its cornering ability. It will be available with either a 10-speed automatic transmission or 6-speed manual. Each Super Snake is built on special order, by hand by Shelby American. Shelby says only 30 of the Bold Package Super Snakes will be built for the American market, although some more additional ones could be built by select Shelby mod shops. The Bold Package modification for the 2020 Ford Shelby Super Snake costs just over $120,000.

I think that you meant to mention the orange and black stripe color combo, which is in your pictures.I personally prefer the previous colors of blue or burgundy with silver stripes. The hardest part for me is the justification of the added expense for maybe 100HP more, which at these power levels may not be faster than the stock GT500. Granted these models will be much rarer than the factory GT500s, but I would actually feel more confident about the reliability of the Mustang with this kind of power as it was engineered by Ford. Still, most all of the 30 buyers will be rich collectors, and most of these cars will probably be rarely driven show cars, so reliability won't be much of an issue. They are cool and rare, but for me I can think of a great many other high performance cars that I would prefer that this price level.
