Learn about an update for most 2021 Tacoma trucks that helps with comfort and keeping the peace.

Anyone traveling with a co-pilot in a 2021 Toyota Tacoma should be a little happier. And more comfortable.

Well, at least if you are in a V6, that is.

2021 Toyota Tacoma Updates

One of the changes coming for model year 2021 involves your Toyota Tacoma heating and air conditioning system.

Look for dual zone auto air conditioning on all models with a 3.5-liter V6 engine. Since a large percentage of these Tacoma trucks come standard with V6, as opposed its 4-cylinder Tacoma counterpart, this should apply to most for 2021.

Why is this important?

But this is such a small item to write about Jeff. Why discuss it?

Great question.

If you have ever traveled even a short distance with another person sitting in that passenger seat, you know what a sticky situation it can be with just one temperature setting.

It is a case of the old “one is hot and one is cold” and could lead to minor (hopefully just minor) disagreements during the trip.

Dual air settings can settle everything and bring about world peace. Well, at least in my mind it could be possible. I will stay at 64 degrees and she can be at 74. See, world peace.

Differences for 2021 Tacoma vs 2020

Dual AC was standard on Limited and TRD Pro grades for 2020 Toyota Tacoma. It was available as an option on many trims such as TRD Sport and TRD Off-Road.

Now, everyone can be happy and comfortable riding in all V6 Tacoma trucks.
