The "Swinger" special-editions are going retro, recreating the peak muscle car years.

Dodge is revealing its third and fourth special-edition models and the vehicles harken back to the days when muscle cars ruled the roads. The 2023 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack Swinger and Dodge Charger Scat Pack Swinger follow in the skid marks of the 2023 Dodge Challenger Shakedown and 2023 Dodge Charger Super Bee as part of the Dodge “Last Call” lineup.

2023 Dodge Challenger and Charger Scat Pack "Swinger" Models

Challenger and Charger Scat Pack Swinger models will be available in retro colors like F8 Green, Sublime Green and White Knuckle, combined with green interior accents to create a classic Swinger look. Dodge will complete the look with throwback “Swinger” graphics with cursive writing on the rear fenders. Only 1,000 of the Challengers and 1,000 of the Chargers will be built. They will be widebody models only.

“The name says it all – the originals had a unique, fun character, and that’s the same reaction we’re hoping for with our 2023 Dodge Challenger and Charger R/T Scat Pack Swinger models,” said Tim Kuniskis, Dodge brand chief executive officer – Stellantis. “Dodge Swinger models have always held a unique spot in the Dodge muscle-car pantheon, and these modern-day models bring that fun back to life.”

Original Dodge “Swinger” Models

The original Dodge Dart Swinger was a member of the Dodge “Scat Pack” club, packing formidable horsepower into a compact package. The “Swinger” models featured rare green-on-green interior/exterior color combinations, gold color accents and wood panel interior touches. The 2023 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack Swinger and 2023 Dodge Charger Scat Pack Swinger modern-day special-edition models are going full retro mode, delivering a throwback exterior and interior appearance.

Dodge's "Last Call" Special-Editions

Dodge is releasing seven “Last Call” special-edition models to commemorate the end of the tradition gas-powered muscle cars. The Brampton, Ontario, plant which produces the Challengers and Chargers will close at the end of the 2023 model year, as the ICE engines are phased out. Dodge has already released a concept of what the electric muscle car could look like called the Dodge Charger Daytona.

Six special-edition Dodge Challenger and Charger models will be revealed through Sept. 21, 2022, with the fifth model to be announced on Sept. 14. The seventh and final 2023 Dodge model will be revealed at the 2022 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, scheduled for Nov. 1-4, 2022. Details and information on all of the special-edition 2023 models are available at Dodge.com.

Information on the Never Lift 24-month road map to the Dodge brand’s future is available at DodgeGarage.com.
Ordering information for the 2023 Dodge Chargers and Challengers will be announced fall 2022. The entire 2023 Charger and Challenger model-year run will be allocated to dealerships all at once, which Dodge says will help customers identify and secure their cars more easily. Dodge will provide customers a guide for locating their desired Charger or Challenger at DodgeGarage.com, which will include information on all 2023 Charger and Challenger inventory at each Dodge dealership.

We’ll have more information on the fifth “Last Call” special-edition when it is announced September 14, 2022. That will coincide with the North American International Auto Show, in Detroit.
