The next-generation 2022 Subaru WRX is likely coming with new technology from the all-new Levorg sports wagon. Check out five things we just learned about the coming performance car.

Subaru just revealed new details about the Levorg sports wagon, and it gives us an idea of what will likely be coming on the next-generation 2022 Subaru WRX. Further information has surfaced, revealing the redesigned WRX is expected to arrive late fall 2021. It rides on the new Subaru Global Platform that will give the sports car higher rigidity and weight reduction, but we already knew that.

A new 11.6-inch high-definition center display

Inside, the cabin is entirely resigned and will feature a digital cockpit with an 11.6-inch high-definition center display that integrates navigation, vehicle settings, and climate control. The sports car also gets a new 12.3 inch LCD driver display. Subaru says the front sport seats get new upgrades for added comfort.

New-generation EyeSight

The WRX with the CVT automatic will come standard with the new-generation EyeSight. It will now offer 360-degree sensing by combining the front and rear radars, and the new EyeSight X uses 3D high-precision map data with road information for each lane. Subaru aims for zero traffic fatalities by 2030 with the new system.

Higher quality materials

One of the complaints with the Subaru WRX and STI interior is the quality of materials doesn't measure up with the competition. That will be changing with new higher quality materials throughout the cabin. Subaru says there's more comfort in the rear seats and ample foot space thanks to the Global Platform.

A newly-redesigned Lineartronic CVT

We expect Subaru to offer a 6-speed manual gearbox in the new WRX, but according to the Japan website, engineers redesigned the Sport Lineartronic CVT automatic to provide smooth acceleration without shift shock. They have expanded the gear range to achieve stronger acceleration and work in concert with the 8-speed manual mode.

A new Drive Mode Select

The WRX with CVT will likely come with the Levorg's new Drive Mode Select with five selectable driving modes. Subaru says you can change the sport car's character by choosing Comfort, Sport, Individual, Normal, and Sport+ Modes. The Individual Mode allows customization for up to five drivers that automatically recognizes the custom driving style for each user.

Subaru has not confirmed this information for the WRX, and it was obtained by checking out the second-generation Levorg. The WRX and STI will likely adopt many of its new technology features. We will wait to see if the new WRX and STI has a similar exterior design language as the Levorg. The next-generation 2022 Subaru WRX is still a year away from its reveal and should arrive late fall 2021.

You didn't "learn" anything about the new WRX. Just a tip Denis, if your headline implies that you've picked up definite information, then you shouldn't be contradicting yourself a couple paragraphs in with something like, " We can't confirm this information but it might be possible." There's a hundred different ways you could have structured this article to make it A.) Not a compete rehash of an article you posted a few days ago and B.) Not more click bait.
