Check out three all-new 2024 Subaru Baja pickups and a Justy Wilderness Edition. Which new model do you want in your garage next year?

Subaru of America should ask Subaru Corporation to build a new 2024 Subaru Baja compact pickup for U.S. customers, but which model would be the best for urban and off-pavement adventures? The Japanese automaker could resurrect the Subaru Baja nameplate but could give it to four different Subaru models to add to its lineup. Which new Baja pickup would you want in your garage next year?

The all-new Subaru Baja pickup could feature the brand's core values of safety, fun-to-drive, all-wheel-drive, fuel-efficient, and a low center of gravity. Each of the three Baja pickups would be rugged and off-pavement ready.

Crosstrek Baja subcompact pickup - obw.adventures

Imagine an all-new 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Baja with a 2.4-liter turbocharged Boxer engine producing 260 horsepower. The more rugged Baja Wilderness trim could lead the segment with extra ground clearance, all-terrain tires, and underbody protection for off-road adventures.

Subaru's new dual-function X-Mode system would be a perfect fit and would be a big hit with customers with active lifestyles who want to go off-road and get further away.

Ascent Baja midsize pickup - obw.adventures

A mid-size 2024 Ascent-Baja pickup would be a great addition to Subaru's AWD lineup, and it wouldn't be hard for the automaker to design one. Like Baja, which used Subaru's wagon platform as the vehicle's starting point, Subaru could use the new Ascent SUV as the mid-size truck's launching platform. Cut off the back, make a few exterior design changes, and you've got a good-looking 4-door Subaru all-wheel-drive truck for Americans.

It could be manufactured alongside the new Ascent 3-Row family hauler in Lafayette, Indiana, with its new 2.4-liter direct-injection four-cylinder boxer engine for power. The Ascent-Baja would sit higher off the ground with at least 9.4-inches of ground clearance and could also be offered as a Sport trim with a raised suspension.

Crosstrek Baja 2-Door subcompact pickup - obw.adventures

For the urban commuter, there is the 2024 2-Door Crosstrek Baja subcompact pickup for customers. It's small, maneuverable, and can handle minor hauling duties and trips to the beach on the weekend. It's fuel-efficient and comes with the 2.0-liter Boxer engine.

Justy Wilderness Edition - obw.adventures

Subaru could also resurrect the Justy compact and offer the new 2024 Subaru Justy Wilderness Edition subcompact SUV. This hot four-door rugged model would easily fit in your garage and be highly maneuverable on the trial. The short wheelbase allows for easy parking and for getting through tight spots when you get deep into the mountains and away from the city.

It's time for Subaru of America to offer an all-new 2024 Subaru Baja Sport Activity Vehicle for its customers in North America and dive into the untapped compact pickup market. Would you buy an all-new Subaru Crosstrek, Ascent, Baja, or Justy Wilderness Edition? Which Subaru Baja pickup would you want in your garage next year? Leave your comments below.

I would like a 4 door hybrid with a 5 ft bed to best the ford maverick.
Must have 8-9 inch ground clearance and real time 4 wheel drive. Be
willing to pay few thousand more than ford. Must get 50 mpg.

The Subaru accent based Baja truck would be my choice.
I currently have a 2021 ascent and I had a 2019 ascent and love both vehicles.

I'd take whichever one came in a manual and had the older mechanical 50/50 AWD that they used until the 2009 Outback (I think it still exists in the Crosstrek/Impreza but I'm not sure).

Have that system in my '03 Outback and it's killer off road.

Two-door Crosstrek. I'm retired, just need a small grocery getter that can maneuver in a parking lot really easily. Or carry... Say a lawn mower or a box with something that needs to be assembled when I get home.

Since I previously owned an original Baja, I liked it but felt it a bit small on the interior for me. I currently own a new Ascent and enjoy the size and comfort, I for sure would choose the Ascent version.

Saludos amigos..

Living in the Bay Area where parking is always tight, definitely thought of the justy to get unthose tight spots but be able to head to the mountains for quick adventure would certainly be a huge selling point, the crosstrek 2 door Baja looks pretty awesome though and would be a hard choice for me to make.

Cross trek Baja without a doubt, just like it was recently. That was everything, do anything 4 people hauler, two bicycles in the back, 2 bikes on top of 2 kayaks on top.. 2x4" thru the thru door back seats. Perfect vehicle. Plane 4 banger boxer with cvt. Bring it back,
