Want to know when the best time to buy a Toyota Prius is or the worst? Read on to find out.

The car market is an amusing place. People sell and buy cars for prices set up by the seller or some entity that decides what the vehicle is worth.

Who do you trust in these trying times? KBB, NADA, or your best friend's uncle? As crazy as it is, we all just seem to roll with the idea that our hunk of metal, plastic, and rubber is worth something.

What makes the vehicle's value go up and down so much? And when is it a good time to buy or sell? Well, if you own a Toyota Prius, you can get caught right in the middle.

I want to explore the excellent time and bad times to buy a Prius and why.

When Is A Good Time To Buy A Toyota Prius?
Being the hybrid guy, I will tell anyone that any time is good to get into a Toyota Prius. But are there better times than others? Yes.

Right now, when gas prices are skyrocketing out of control (I have personally seen $5 a gallon for 87 octane) a Prius can help ease that burden.

My 2008 Prius helps me temper the storm by getting (on average) 50 miles to the gallon, which helps reduce the sting of driving.

Fuel prices drive the sale of fuel-efficient vehicles, which leads me to my next question.

When Is A Bad Time To Buy A Toyota Prius
The unfortunate thing about high gas prices is that it drives up the "determined value" of the market. A Prius that was once a $2000 car could cost $4000 simply because it gets better mpg.

I personally have never thought it a bad time to own a Prius or buy one. My skillset, though, allows me to repair them, and as such, I have an advantage over many.

You can learn how to buy and sell them through too if you know what you are doing. Most Prius on the road have problems that are common and typically easy to repair.

Conclusion
Toyota Prius is one of those cars that will always be, in my opinion, a good investment. Sometimes you do see them pretty beat up, but overall they are worth it.

Short and sweet today, I have some adventures to attend to. Remember Today's Adventure is Tomorrow's Story.

Speaking of adventure, here is my next one. I found a garaged Prius just sitting and waiting for me to come get it.
