4 Improvements Next-Gen 2024 Toyota Camry Must Have

What to look forward to with next-gen 2024 Toyota Camry.

When you are the best-selling vehicle in your class, people come to expect something special from you. Especially when you are the top-selling midsize sedan for the last two decades.

Toyota Camry is smooth and comfortable and dependable, but it is also due for a huge upgrade.

Hopefully that will come sooner than we think.

2024 Toyota Camry Changes

Since there has not been an official announcement, or even a small teaser, hinting at a new generation 2024 Camry, my crystal ball is hazier than ever.

We really do not know if we will be seeing a complete overhaul for 2024 Camry or for 2025 Camry.

If there is big news to share regarding 2024 Toyota Camry, I would anticipate receiving that news toward middle to end of Summer. That seems to fall in line with production precedents.

And if not, well, we hold on a little longer for 2025.

While we wait for that bombshell to arrive or not arrive, there are several key aspects of Camry that I hope are included in the new body style.

Toyota Camry Styling

This generation of Toyota Camry looks good, but it is getting a bit outdated. I hope we see modern, aggressive exterior styling and features.

New, multi-beam LED headlights and daytime running lights. Wide, aggressive, and pronounced stance. Sleek and aerodynamic profile.

I would also expect all new wheel patterns, colors, and styles. A different one to match each unique trim level.

It would not surprise me if “new Camry” is equipped with the latest version of Toyota Safety Sense 3.0.

What to do with Camry TRD

Don’t get me wrong, I really like the current 2023 Camry TRD. Especially in its new sinister Underground color.

However, I want more. A lot more.

The 2023 Toyota Camry TRD features a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 301 horsepower and 267 lb.-ft. torque. The high-performance grade Camry carries with it a certain level of expectation, and I would like to see more power here.

My idea for the last year or so has been for Toyota to transition from Camry TRD into a GR Camry. More horsepower and torque, slick styling, and even more track-inspired performance than ever before.

Are you listening, Toyota?

2024 Toyota Camry Engines

Toyota Camry fans have three power options for the 2023 model year. A 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that delivers 203 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. torque. The Camry Hybrid which gives drivers 208 horsepower with its 2.5-liter and electric motor tandem. And, of course, the 3.5-liter V6 I spoke about earlier.

Several ways to go here when ushering in the next generation.

I expect the Camry Hybrid option to stay like it is now. Several models utilize this modern hybrid setup, and it makes sense for Camry, both for power and fuel efficiency.

A base turbo-charged option would be the expectation here as well. This would increase overall power and low-end torque for an iconic model that really could use it.

But what I am really hoping for is the addition of HYBRID MAX powertrain to the Toyota Camry 2024 (or 2025) lineup. A 2.4-liter turbocharged engine with electric motor assist. This currently delivers between 340 horsepower (2023 Crown) and 362 horsepower (2024 Grand Highlander) with 400 lb.-ft. torque.

Toyota Camry Interior

Toyota Camry interior cabin really could use a complete modernization for the new generation.

For example, all multimedia touch screens presently are either 7-inch or 9-inch in size. This aspect could use some supersizing. I feel Camry could utilize a similar 10-5-inch screen as seen in the 2023 RAV4. We could see multi-information displays as large as 12.3 inches too (think 2023 Highlander).

Next-gen Camry will feature the new Toyota Audio Multimedia system. This allows passengers to pair multiple smartphones, set up profiles with individual preferences, use wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and take advantage of faster and more conversational voice commands.

Time for Your Toyota Camry Comments

I would enjoy hearing what you would like to see when it is time for a 2024 Toyota Camry redesign (or 2025). Are you more interested in seeing the upcoming exterior or interior changes?

Thanks for reading everyone. See you next story.

Ever since the trd camry had its day view and became super hot with it's sports model and slick look. I have been wanting to see a turbo put into it, with my research the engine is being let down due to toyota not wanting to make a competitive car to the supra. It would be pretty awesome to have a turbo on the v6 trd build to really bring out the sports mode. 301 hp is nice but everyone wants to see 400 at minimum with a sports car.
