Mercedes-Benz premieres at Frankfurt Auto Show with F125 research concept car

Mercedes-Benz, marking their 125 years of automotive history, will offer several world and European debuts a the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show today, notably including the F125 research concept car, which takes a visionary look at future technical developments in the luxury market.

Demonstrating how entirely emission-free mobility can be possible in a luxury automobile, Mercedes-Benz F125 anticipates future trends and is blazing the trail for the innovative large and luxurious automobiles to follow.

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster provides open-air driving at its very best. The combination of an aluminum frame body with an AMG 6.3-liter V8 front-mid engine outputting 563 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque plus a seven-speed dual clutch transaxle transmission and a sports suspension with aluminum double wishbones is guaranteed to the blood rush through your viens, while delivering the driving dynamics and pleasure only a roadster can. The 2012 SLS AMG Roadster will make its U.S. debut in November.

The exceptional 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK55 AMG is the most powerful of all time. Its newly developed AMG 5.5-liter V8 with cylinder shutoff system combines high performance with low consumption. With a maximum output of 415 hp and maximum toque of 398 lb-ft, the SLK55 AMG sets the high mark for its class with fuel consumption 30 percent lower than the previous model. The AMG features sports suspension with a Direct-Steer system, Torque Vectoring Brakes and 3-stage ESP plus the AMG high-performance braking system make for highly responsive driving. The 2012 SLK55 AMG will arrive in U.S. showrooms in early 2012.

C63 AMG Coupé Black Series is also the most powerful C-Class ever drawing on the world of motorsport and the highest level of driving dynamics. The new Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupé Black Series produces a maximum output of 510 hp and a maximum torque of 457 lb.-ft, The AMG 6.3-liter-V8 engine has great torque, tremendous pulling power and elegant responsiveness, accelerating from zero to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds.

The European Model of the new B-Class ushers in a new era in compact cars, featuring a four-cylinder gas engine with direct injection and turbocharger, a diesel engine, dual clutch transmission and manual transmission along with new assistance systems. High-grade materials, highly tactile surfaces, precision workmanship plus safety equipment unique to the segment raise the mark for the compact car segment.

In addition, Mercedes-Benz is showing another model of the new B-Class with electric drive. The European model of the Concept B-Class E-CELL PLUS: electric vehicle with Range Extender features both an electric drive and gas engine to ensure excellent suitability for everyday use and long journeys. It utilizes a lithium-ion battery from Deutsche Accumotive, which enables local emission-free driving up to a range of 62 miles. The addition of a three-cylinder gas engine extends the total range of up to 373 miles.

Mercedes-Benz will also debut the European Model of the SLK250 CDI – the first Mercedes Roadster with a diesel engine. The 204 hp four-cylinder power plant of the SLK250 CDI is at the top of its class for fuel consumption and torque. The result is superior driving enjoyment both on winding country roads and on long straightaway stretches. Like the other models in the latest SLK family, which were presented in January this year, it combines sportiness with quality appointments and enhanced comfort.
