If there is one thing that Ford has done right, it is with the compact Ford Maverick Hybrid, which continues to gain excellent marks from Consumer Reports.

Since Its Launch, The Maverick is a winner

Since its launch in 2022, the Ford Maverick has received only kudos and praises from a seemingly adoring public. And why not? Most recently, the compact Ford pickup received great news from Consumer Reports. Also, the Mavericks' fanbase seems to have become even more vital.

Since its launch, Consumer Reports and its members have lavished plenty of praise on the Maverick Hybrid. The Maverick Hybrid has been named one of the “most fuel-efficient vehicles on sale,” says the Ford Authority, a leading independent voice of news and views about Ford products.

Further, the Maverick has been named “one of the most fuel-efficient vehicles on sale.” And it has been named a top pick with “a price tag of less than $35,000.”

Finally, it has been named “one of the most satisfying vehicles available today – not just once, or twice, but three times,” the Ford Authority notes.

Maverick Named As One of the best on sale today

And now, Consumer Reports has named the Maverick “one of the best vehicles on sale today with some of the lowest ownership costs in its class.”

According to the Ford Authority (FA), Consumer Reports took a close “look at its owner surveys,” but this time, “it didn’t just lean on overall scores. Instead, it looked at some specific owner-specific questions from its surveys.” Instead, it answered owner-specific questions including:

  • How satisfied owners are in terms of in-cabin comfort
  • Storage space
  • Driving enjoyment
  • Ownership costs,
  • How easy it is to use the infotainment system.

According to the FA/CR study, it also means that “models didn’t necessarily have to achieve a high overall score to be named as a satisfying vehicle to own.”

Rated As one of the most satisfying vehicles on the market

Overall, the Ford Maverick Hybrid ranked “as one of the most satisfying vehicles on the market in the specific area of ownership costs, topping the compact pickup segment simultaneously.” Further, CR noted that Ford Maverick Hybrid owners praised their vehicles’ fuel economy specifically, with one owner noting that “’ being able to get 40 miles-per-gallon makes it perfect for my job.’”

FA concluded:

“The results from this latest study stem from Consumer Reports‘ 2023 Annual Auto Surveys, which collected data from more than 330,000 vehicles from the 2021-2024 model years. As is always the case, owner satisfaction is based on the percentage of survey respondents that answer the question of whether or not they’d repurchase their vehicle if given the chance with “definitely yes,” with a higher percentage indicating a higher level of satisfaction.’’”
