Tesla Totaled By Uninsured Teenage Driver

In California, Mike was leaving a parking lot, and he was traveling around 10 mph. It was at this time that a Mazda driver was turning into a gas station and collided with the side of the Tesla Model 3.

During the impact, the glass on the driver side door shattered, and it sent shards of glass that hit both Mike and his girlfriend. You can hear the audible distress in his voice during the crash.

Fortunately, nobody was seriously injured, however, Mike and his girlfriend experiences hearing issues after the crash and Mike's girlfriend suffered neck pains for several months.

The driver of the Mazda was underage and under insured. The police were called and arrived quickly at the scene of the accident.

The Mazda driver's insurance only covered up to $10,000 and Mike's insurance ended up covering the rest of the totaled car's value of $60,000.

Mike found the situation ironic because the Mazda has a license plate that said "WatsGaz" and hit the Tesla while the Mazda was trying to go into the gas station.

Another Tesla was driving when a black Suburban moved to the right and made a U-Turn right in front of her. Jenn slammed on the brakes and barely missed the Suburban. The driver of the Suburban was smiling and looking back as they pulled away. Thanks to the quick reflexes of Jenn, there was no harm done.

There was another video of an accident of a driver running a red light and undercutting another vehicle in the air. Thankfully, nobody was seriously injured.

Body shop work is damned expensive. I was recently driving my Bolt on a side street when a parked car door opened as I passed. Only extensive damage was the right front headlight, hood, and fender because aluminum is tough to unbend. As I passed, the door also damaged both doors, the mirror, and the rear quarter panel. Total $11,746.

“Mike found the situation ironic because the Mazda has a license plate that said "WatsGaz"…

The video clearly shows that it was the Tesla, not the Mazda, with the “WatsGaz” license plate. Was Mike (as the Tesla driver) unaware of his own license plate?
