According to Consumer Reports surveys, these two- and three-row midsized SUV models are the ones most reliable for shoppers looking to keep their SUV for the long haul…both figuratively and literally.

In a recent Consumer Reports “Most reliable…” style ratings report, CR analysts compiled a list of the most reliable new midsized SUVs based on their insights from consumer surveys to help SUV shoppers avoid SUVs that don’t make their Overall Score cut and discover those that do; thereby, helping consumers make smarter purchasing decisions.

Reliable New Midsized SUVs Summary

Listed below is a useful summary of six 2-row and four 3-row SUVs CR analysts determined today that offer a combination of roomy interiors and plenty of cargo space in an SUV that is still relatively easy to drive and park. Including, some all-wheel drive models for rough weather and winter road trips, and a few that offer a compact third row of seating that adds the flexibility SUV owners with families need.

The two- and three-row SUVs below have above- and well-above-average reliability ratings. On top of that, they come standard with key active safety equipment, including automatic emergency braking (AEB) with pedestrian detection and highway-speed AEB, while both blind spot warning (BSW) and rear cross traffic warning (RCTW) are available. The SUVs also performed well in government and insurance-industry crash tests if they were tested. Some models may not be recommended because of low road-test scores,” stated CR analysts in their newsletter.

All models are listed in order of their Overall Scores.
