Vincentric says Subaru is the best CPO Value SUV Brand, and three Subaru models are the best in the segment. See which models are the best and what it means for SUV and car shoppers.

Vincentric announced that Subaru earned its third consecutive win for Best CPO Value SUV Brand. Every year, Vincentric gives car shoppers an idea of what certified pre-owned (CPO) models offer the best value and are the lowest cost to own.

I cover the Vincentric Awards every year, and Subaru walks away with new awards again this year. Three Subaru models score highest; the Outback, Crosstrek, and Legacy win individual awards again this year.

Subaru wins the best SUV brand.

Subaru received its third consecutive and fourth-time overall win for Best CPO Value SUV brand, aided by wins for the Crosstrek and Outback.

The Outback is impressive with its seventh victory in a row for the Midsize SUV, the Legacy won the Midsize sedan segment for the fourth time, and the Crosstrek won the Compact SUV segment for the second consecutive year.

What does it mean for customers?

The Outback, Crosstrek, and Legacy get individual segment awards because they have lower-than-expected ownership costs. To get the Vincentric Best CPO Value in America award, they measured the vehicle's cost of ownership using eight different cost factors: depreciation, fees and taxes, financing, fuel economy, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost, and repairs.

"CPO vehicles can be a smart way for car shoppers to save on costs, but there can also be an overwhelming number of options to choose from," said David Wurster, Vincentric President.

"The Vincentric Best CPO Value in America Awards can help consumers make an informed vehicle purchase decision. And with most of this year's winners being repeat winners in their segments, consumers can have confidence that buying an award-winning CPO vehicle will likely deliver consistent value over time."
