Check out 2021 Subaru Impreza pricing and upgrades. The compact car gets a $100 price increase across all trim levels and is still offered with standard all-wheel-drive.

The 2021 Subaru Impreza gets a small price increase, and new upgrades announced for the model change. The Impreza is due for a complete remodel in 2022, so this year's changes are minimal. The Premium trim adds SI-DRIVE performance management system, and all trims with a CVT automatic transmission now come standard with EyeSight technology and feature a rear seat reminder.

The 2021 Impreza comes in four trim levels for customers, and all get a $100 price increase. The eight different models come in base sedan ($19,720), base hatchback ($20,220) Premium sedan ($23,120), Premium hatchback ($23,620), Sport sedan ($24,520), Sport hatchback ($23,920), Limited sedan ($26,820), and Limited hatchback ($27,320). Destination and delivery ($925) is included in the prices above and get a $25 price increase.

All Impreza trims come with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 152-hp and 145 lb.-ft. of torque. Subaru still offers the 6-speed manual transmission as standard in the three trims (base sedan and hatchback, and Sport hatchback).

What sets the Subaru Impreza apart from the rest?

The 2021 Impreza is still the only compact car in North Ameirca with standard all-wheel-drive and it's the compact car's best feature. A few competitiors offer it, but you'll have to pay extra to get the all weather capability the Impreza offers standard on all trim levels.

Base trims also come standard with Subaru Starlink, a 6.5-inch Multimedia system with touchscreen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, power windows, door locks, and side mirrors, 60/40-split fold-down rear seat, multifunction display with fuel economy information, tilt and telescoping steering column, keyless entry, security system with engine immobilizer, and carpeted floor mats.

Premium trim adds a 7-speed manual mode function with steering wheel paddle shifters on CVT equipped models. The Premium also adds the Starlink 6.5-inch Multimedia Plus, Starlink safety, and security features, fog lights, and the all-weather package with heated front seats, windshield, and exterior mirrors.

The 5-door models come with roof rails as standard. New for 2021, the Premium trim adds SI-DRIVE performance management system.

What is the best Impreza trim level?

The 2021 Impreza Sport hits the sweet spot for features, price and it gets suspension tuning for improved driving dynamics. The Sport trim comes with 18-inch machine-finish alloy wheels, and Active Torque Vectoring (ATV). What difference will driving enthusiasts feel?

ATV is a performance system first introduced on the Subaru WRX that helps reduce understeer. Without it, the forward motion wants to keep the vehicle moving in a straight path. With ATV, it will help the Impreza Sport carve a tight corner.

Sport trims also come with Subaru Starlink 8.0-inch Multimedia Plus system, keyless access with pushbutton start, aluminum pedals, leather-wrapped steering wheel, shift handle, and CVT shift boot.

The top-of-the lineup Limited trim adds LED headlights and LED daytime running lights. The Limited also comes equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels in a black machine finish and body-color exterior mirrors with integrated turn signals.

Limited comes upgraded with a leather-trimmed interior with double stitching on the door armrests and instrument panel, plus a 6-way power driver's seat, an automatic climate control system, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter.

Safety features for 2021

The Limited also upgrades safety with Reverse Automatic Braking and Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Keep Assist and Rear-Cross Traffic Alert. Also standard are High Beam Assist and Steering Responsive Headlights.

New for 2021, all CVT models come with a new rear-seat reminder designed to help prevent child or pet entrapment by alerting the driver to check the rear seat before exiting the compact vehicle. The 2021 Subaru Impreza sedan and hatchback models arrive in October.
