Subaru announced Crosstrek sales, which are about as hot as any model in America. Check out what the amazing Crosstrek subcompact SUV pulled off last month.

How hot were Subaru Crosstrek sales last month? The 2023 Subaru Crosstrek subcompact SUV is beyond red hot. Subaru of America reported March sales are up across its all-wheel-drive lineup, but the Crosstrek was the top performer by volume again and achieved its best March ever. And this is before the next-generation model arrives on U.S. shores this spring.

The Crosstrek started 2023 hot and was the top performer by volume in January and February. Now Crosstrek had a record month in March with 14,040 vehicle sales compared with 13,460 sales in March 2022. Crosstrek was up 4.3 percent in March and 10.9 percent in the first quarter of 2023, the most of any Subaru SUV nameplate.

An even more impressive statistic is that the Crosstrek is still the only subcompact SUV in America to lead any car brand's lineup in new model sales. "Enthusiasm for Subaru vehicles (like Crosstrek) remained high in March, and we anticipate continued excitement as the weather warms up and car buyers begin planning spring and summer adventures," said Troy Poston, the newly-appointed Senior Vice President of Sales at Subaru of America.

Subaru of America reported that the next-generation 2024 Crosstrek started production in February at the U.S. plant in Lafayette, Indiana. Until now, the Crosstrek has only been manufactured in Gunma, Japan.

Subaru of Indiana Automotive is now producing the 2024 Crosstrek Sport and 2024 Crosstrek Limited trim levels in the U.S. plant for the first time. However, the Base and Premium Crosstrek trims will still be made in Japan.

What's coming next for the Crosstrek?

We expect sales of the Crosstrek to get even hotter when the next-generation models arrive. The remodeled 2024 Crosstrek gets significant upgrades from the second-generation models. The Sport and Limited trims are powered by the re-tuned, slightly more powerful 2.5-liter Boxer engine, producing 182 hp and 178 lb.-ft. of torque. Check out the complete model change guide here.

What is the price of the 2024 Crosstrek?

For 2024, the Crosstrek will be available in Base, Premium, Sport, and Limited trim levels and has a starting price of $26,290 (the same MSRP as the 2023 Base model equipped with the Lineartronic CVT automatic transmission).

The 2024 Crosstrek Premium has a starting price of $27,440, Sport ($30,290), and Limited ($32,190). Pricing includes destination and delivery fees ($1,225).

How much did the 2024 Crosstrek price increase? The Premium trim price increased by +$70, the Sport +$1,070, and Limited +$1,470.

Before the next-generation Crosstrek arrives, the subcompact SUV is beyond hot and was the top performer by volume and achieved its best March ever.
