10 Best Car Brands In J.D. Power Tech Study - Subaru Scores 3rd And A Top SUV

What are the car brands that offer new vehicle technology that customers want? Check out the top-10 automakers, where Subaru ranks, and one Subaru model that stands out.

Does the 2022 Subaru Forester, 2022 Outback, 2021 Crosstrek, 2022 Ascent, and other new models the automaker offers have new technology customers want? The J.D. Power 2022 U.S. Tech Experience Index (TXI) Study reveals Subaru moved up into the top three car brands in their latest findings.

Subaru seems to be hitting the mark in offering technology customers appreciate and want on their next vehicle. In the recent J.D. Power TXI innovation study, Subaru ranks third among mainstream brands. Hyundai scores number one with a score of 534, Kia number two (495), Subaru (482), Buick (482), and GMC (482) each rank third in a tie.

The J.D. Power TXI technology innovation study is in its seventh-year and measures usability and ease of use of a brand’s technology. The top brands and vehicles offer the best user experience for customers.

In this year’s study, Ram (475) scores sixth, followed by Chevrolet (471), Nissan (465), Toyota (465), and Dodge (464). The industry average is 469 points.

The 2022 U.S. Tech Experience Index (TXI) Study is based on responses from 84,165 owners of new 2022 model-year vehicles who were surveyed after 90 days of ownership. The study was fielded from February through May 2022.

Subaru Ascent receives an individual model award

Subaru moved up from its number four ranking last year. Subaru also received an individual model award in this year’s tech study. The Smart Rearview Mirror on the 2022 Subaru Ascent earned the highest Execution Index score among owners in the mass market segment. The camera rear-view mirror in the 2022 Subaru Ascent is offered on upper trim levels.

The Cadillac Escalade is the premium model receiving the convenience award for camera rear-view mirror technology.

J.D. Power says, “When owners get the technology features they want and which meet their user-experience expectations, the results are positive, and those owners tell their friends about the experience.”

According to the 2022 J.D. Power Tech Experience Study, Subaru is one of the top three mainstream brands delivering excellence in executing its new technology features. Subaru scores the number three automaker with customers saying the 2022 Subaru Forester, Outback, Crosstrek, Ascent, and other models offer new vehicle technology they want and use.
