The Takata airbag fiasco continues to bite Toyota and Lexus owners. Is your car, Truck, or SUV on this latest list of recalled vehicles?

Toyota and Lexus have been stung again by the everlasting Takata airbag recall. In this case, the models being recalled had already been recalled previously to have the airbag inflators replaced. Now, Toyota and Lexus is recalling them again to have the work done a second time.

The recall covers 2003-2005 Model Year Corollas, 2002-2005 Model Year Sequoias, 2003-2005 Model Year Tundras and 2002-2005 Model Year Lexus SC vehicles in the United States. Approximately 65,000 vehicles are involved in this new recall.

Toyota says a safety defect may arise in the Takata inflators due to propellant degradation occurring after prolonged exposure to high absolute humidity and high-temperature cycling. Activation of an inflator with the degraded propellant may result in an airbag inflator rupture. If a defective inflator ruptures, it could cause sharp metal fragments to pass through the airbag and spray directly at the driver and passengers, increasing the risk of serious injury or death. Takata airbags have been responsible for injury and death in the past.

Because this recall campaign is so vast, automakers have set u an informational website dealing with it. You can find that link here.
