Here are 5 quick things to know about the Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV that debuted overnight in Korea.

The 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 debuted overnight in Korea. Here are 5 quick things to know about the Ioniq 5. It will be available in selected regions starting in the first half of 2021.

Ioniq 5 Range
When paired with rear-wheel drive and the 72.6-kWh battery option, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 has an estimated range of 300 miles.

Ioniq 5 Horsepower
At the top of the electric motor lineup is an all-wheel drive (AWD) option paired with the 72.6-kWh battery, producing a combined power output of about 300 horsepower and 445 lb. ft. of torque. Hyundai says the top 0-60 time is 5.2 seconds. Look for 6.1 seconds with the 58-kWh battery. It has a top speed of about 114 mph.

Ioniq 5 Cargo Capacity
Ioniq 5 provides 18.7 cubic of trunk space, which increases to over 56 cubic feet when the second-row seats are fully folded. For added versatility, the second-row seats can slide forward up to 5.3 inches and also be folded in a 6:4 ratio. Meanwhile, customers can enjoy additional storage space with a front trunk that offers 2 cubic feet of capacity

Ioniq 5 Towing Capability
The Ioniq 5 can tow over 3,500 lbs. No word yet on what that does to range but it’s still a significant capacity.

Head-Up Windshield
For the first time in Hyundai, Ioniq 5 features an augmented reality head-up display (AR HUD), essentially turning the windshield into a display screen. Drivers can choose to use AR technology to project relevant information, such as navigation, advanced safety and the car’s surroundings, to their line of sight across the windshield.
