While the ProCharger name has made a reputation for making big power in all sorts of vehicles, the Ford Mustang has long been a major part of the supercharger business and today, ProCharger announced their new 475 horsepower package for the 2011 Ford Mustang V6.

You read that right – the new ProCharger package can take the new 3.7L V6-powered base model 2011 Ford Mustang and improve the output to an amazing 475 horsepower (or more) with two slightly different kits starting under $5,000. These packages maintain street legality in all 50 US states and while the company does not offer any concrete fuel economy numbers, they do point out that the fuel economy will remain relatively unchanged and even improve in some cases.

The new ProCharger Intercooled System adds 170 horsepower to the standard 2011 Ford Mustang V6 and this package comes with everything needed to safely pull that kind of power from the base model Mustang. This packages begins with the ProCharger P-1SC-1 self-contained supercharger, mated to a large front-mounted intercooler that fits behind the front fascia without the need to cut/trim your fascia. The P-1SC-1 ProCharger uses a 6-rib belt drive assembly to produce 8 pounds of boost pressure and a bracket setup that allows the blower to fit comfortably under the hood without any changes…you can even still use the stock engine cover and the stock airbox.

The new V6 Mustang ProCharger Intercooled System also includes 50lb/hr fuel injectors and a hand tuning tool to make the necessary tuning adjustments to safely produce 475hp (427 rear wheel horsepower) from the new 3.7L Mustang – completing the turnkey package for the 2011 Mustang V6. For those who have body kits or owners who are willing to make some front-end modifications, ProCharger also offers larger, more efficient front mount intercoolers to work with this package. This kit comes with an MSRP of $5,596 and requires 91 octane fuel.

The second package is the 2011 Mustang V6 Tuner Kit and this package is similar to the aforementioned ProCharger Intercooled System, except it does not come with the fuel injectors and the hand-tuning tool/preprogrammed ECU tunes. This package is ideal for someone who wants to make their own fuel system upgrades and go with a custom ECU tune that will very likely allow them to make more than 475 horsepower. The complete turnkey ProCharger package is ideal for the V6 Mustang owner who wants a street legal package regardless of where they live but for the Mustang owner in an area where emissions make no difference, adding a higher volume fuel system and a more aggressive tune will likely produce even more power but the result may not be a car that will pass state emission tests. This package may also be ideal for someone who has the capacity to run very high octane race fuel through their 2011 Mustang V6. The Tuner Kit comes with an MSRP of $4,996.

That does not make sense.

The video disproves the claim?! The video at the 1:44 mark, shows max power as 396.9, and the Weather Corrected Figure is 427.3. So you adjust that number AGAIN to get to 475?

that sounds like pure BS. Thanks for the video.

WCF would be 'with correction factor'. This is used to equalize all dyno pulls so they can be compared, so if a car is dyno'ed at high altitude where air is thinner it will produce a comparable chart to a car dyno'ed at sea level. So yes, 427 SAE whp, factor in drivetrain loss and the engine is making 475 flywheel horse. Thank you, have a nice day.

The video is mor than likely JUST showing the supercharger tune kit. with out the injectors and tune. When you throw in those 50 lb injectors and the tune is when you get the 475 HP at the fly wheel. 427 to the wheels..... I've seen in person a 2012 mustang v6 with the procharger kit on a street tune with stock injectors make 412 RWHP.
