Among the 7 Mopar-modified Jeep vehicles that will be in attendance at the 2011 Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah will be the Jeep Grand Cherokee Off-Road Edition that made its grand debut in the Mopar display at the 2010 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

The Grand Cherokee Off-Road Edition began its life as a standard Grand Cherokee Limited powered by a 5.7L Hemi V8 and a 5-speed automatic transmission sending power to all four trail rated wheels. This vehicle was originally designed to draw attention at the 2010 SEMA Show but as it hits Moab, we can expect to see it getting a little dirty courtesy folks at the Easter Jeep Safari.

The folks at Mopar have enhanced the Grand Cherokee Off-Road Edition with a set of heavy duty springs that lift the sport ute around 2 inches, making plenty of room for the 32” BFGoodrich tires all-season tires. Along the underside, Mopar has added underbody skid plates and a set of rock rails to protect the vehicle from any of the dangers of Moab’s extreme trails.

Finally, the exterior of the Jeep Grand Cherokee Off-Road Edition has been finished in a gloss grey with a satin black center section in the hood complimenting the satin black wheels, grille, and other dark trim around the vehicle. To highlight this fairly drab yet sporty exterior, Mopar has added some subtle red trim around the door handles, tow hooks, rear badging and the lugnut holes.

While some of the Jeeps coming to Moab are outlandish concept vehicles that will never see production, the Grand Cherokee Off-Road Edition is easily built with a little imagination and some help from the Mopar accessory guide.
