Lucid's New Board Members Bring Auto, Finance, Luxe Goods Expertise

It's three in, three out for Lucid's board after most recent shareholder meeting.

Lucid Motors has some new board members as a result of its recent shareholder meeting. Sherif Marakby, Chabi Nouri and Ori Winitzer were voted in during the meeting which took place on April 24th. The trio bring a wealth of experience in the automotive, finance and luxury goods industries.

Mr. Marakby has an extensive background in the automotive and technology industries, most recently with auto and consumer goods firm MemryX. Prior to that he was Executive Vice President of Corporate Research and Development at Magna International. Marakby also worked at Ford for nearly 30 years and has been CEO of Ford Autonomous Vehicles, as well as VP of Autonomous Vehicles and Electrification. He was also VP of Global Vehicle Programs at Uber from April 2016 to April 2017. In addition to his Lucid board duties Mr. Marakby is on the board of directors of American Battery Technology Company which focuses on mineral and battery recycling.

Chabi Nouri
Ms. Nouri brings a wealth of luxury goods and lifestyle experience to the Lucid board, having worked as Chief Marketing Officer and then global CEO of luxury watch and jewelry brand Piaget from 2014 to 2021. She led Cartier's High Jewelry and Creative Jewelry efforts and currently sits as a director of another luxury watch outfit as well as co-managing a private equity fund at Mirabaud Asset Management.

Ori Winitzer
Mr. Winitzer has extensive investment and digital media experience stemming from, among other positions, Integrated Media Company which he co-founded in 2018. He also worked as a Senior Managing Director with investment and advisory firm Guggenheim Partners, and has held investment banking positions with LionTree LLC and Rothschild & Co.
