Tesla CEO Elon Musk affirmed his confidence in the electric automaker by stating it will be great long-term, despite the stock slide that continues to affect shares. But is Tesla's success abut Elon Musk alone?

I am not a Tesla investor, nor am I in the stock market, but as many people are worried about Tesla's future, I am inclined to a thought that Tesla's success was never about Elon Musk. I have never met, or even heard of, anyone who bought a Tesla because of Elon Musk. Tesla's success was always about their vehicles. Tesla's electric vehicles sell themselves even though they don't advertise a bit. If the product quality goes down, then so will the company and so will the stock. So far, that hasn't happened, and Tom Kulzer rage quitting is not going to make a difference.

But there many other people who think differently. They say The success of Tesla is because of Elon Musk. Without him there would be no Tesla. But investors don't like uncertainty and knowing that Musk is a big part of Tesla's success, has many investors either thinking twice about putting their money in Tesla or taking profits and waiting until things shake out.
