Jeep is adding off-roading features like an available Warn Winch, floating rear axle and better towing to keep trail riders coming back.

The Jeep name is synonymous with off-roading, but Ford has made inroads with its revamped Bronco. Jeep is responding by adding value into its popular 2024 Jeep Wrangler, adding more technology and key trail features to try and stay ahead of the pack.

New for 2024, Wranglers will come with dozens of trail guides loaded into the infotainment system. Trails Offroad delivers comprehensive off-road trail guides for the 62 Jeep Badge of Honor trails. It will be pre-loaded right into the Uconnect 5 system. Buyers can also upgrade with a subscription that unlocks 3,000-plus Trails Offroad trail guides.

Wrangler Expands Feature Called Off Road+

The new 2024 Jeep Wrangler expands availability of Off Road+ from Rubicon gas models to Rubicon 4xe, Willys 4xe and Willys gas models. Optimizing vehicle parameters for off roading, including throttle, transmission shift points and traction control, Off Road+ delivers peak performance on any trail. When used in 4HI, Off Road+ optimizes settings for higher-speed conditions, such as sand and mud, and also allows the Tru-Lok rear electronic locking differential to be locked for improved performance. In 4LO, Off Road+ optimizes settings for low-speed conditions such as rock crawling.

2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon

New for the 2024, the Jeep brand is making sure its Wrangler Rubicon screams that it is capable of taking on even the most difficult trails. The 2024 Rubicon will feature its first full-float Dana rear axle. Full-floating axles provide a number of benefits. They allow the vehicle to carry more weight but probably most important, in this case, they allow the vehicle to have much larger tires. If the driver is doing something terribly rugged and breaks an axle, the vehicle should still be drivable to get you off the trail.

Another feature new for 2024, buyers can order a Warn winch straight from the factory. That means the cost can be built into the overall loan, you don’t have to buy it outright later and have it added. The 2024 Wrangler Rubicon will also have increased 5,000-pound best-in-class tow capability.

Inside, customers get to experience more comfort and safety, with a new interior featuring available 12-way power front seats, standard 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen radio and standard side curtain airbags for the first and second rows.

“With the new 2024 Jeep Wrangler, we’re continuing to raise the bar of Wrangler’s unmatched and legendary 4x4 capability,” said Jim Morrison, senior vice president, Jeep brand North America. “This new Wrangler delivers more capability with an available factory-installed 8,000-lb.-capacity Warn winch and new Dana 44 HD full-float solid rear axle; a more refined and technologically advanced interior with available 12-way power seats; and improved safety with standard side-curtain air bags.”

The Wrangler Rubicon starts at $45,395 plus $1,795 destination fees.

The new Wrangler Rubicon X model is even more rugged. The Rubicon X adds standard 35-inch tires, integrated off-road camera and steel bumpers. The Wrangler Rubicon X starts at $54,895 plus destination fees.

Jeep Adding More Features Across the Board

The2024 Jeep Wrangler base model starts at $31,895 plus destination fees of $1,795. However, the Wrangler offers a wide range of trim levels and powertrain options that can take vehicle up to $87,595 for the fully-loaded, powerful, Wrangler Rubicon 392. Jeep stresses that it has a model for every driver and every off-road situation.
