2023 Toyota Sequoia’s Trims Bring Comfort, Off-Road, and Towing All In One Package

Toyota gives us a deeper insight into the prices and trims of the upcoming 2023 Toyota Sequoia. Is it the SUV for everyone?

Some happy long-awaited news today as Toyota debuted its all-new 2023 Sequoia. This morning we published an article about this debut, and I covered all the new suspension and engine specs along with its upgraded infotainment system. In this article, I want to take a look at the available trims and their respective MSRP prices.

Just like the Toyota Tundra, you will be able to get the new Sequoia in the SR5 trim, Limited trim, Platinum trim, TRD PRO trim, and Capstone trim. All of these trims besides the TRD Pro trim come with either the 4x2 or 4x4 option with the TRD Pro being exclusively 4x4.

Luckily, in Toyota’s press release, which was dropped today, Toyota kindly included a little sheet of all the MSRP prices for these different specs. So, the 4x4 models are going to be significantly more expensive than the 4x2 models. How much more expensive? The SR5 4x2 is $58,300 and the 4x4 is $3,000 more at $61,300.

Starting with the base model SR5, you can upgrade to the SR5 Premium package which adds a 14inch display in your Sequoia boasting an almost laptop-like appearance. You also get some more cool stuff like Audio Multi-Media, power 3rd-row seating, hands-free liftgate, SofTex seats, and power outlets in the cargo and cabin area.

Upgrade even more to get the SR5 TRD package and you get TRD wheels with TRD Bilstein shocks to better your off-road experience. MSRP for the standard SR5 starts at $58,300 but expects to pay more for other options. Mind you this price is the MSRP and not the market adjustment prices dealers will throw at you.

As we move up to the Limited trim, you still get the 14inch display but this time you get ventilated seats for the driver and passenger. To accompany such luxury, you get power liftgates and power shades as well. The base price for a 2023 Toyota Sequoia Limited starts at $64,700 MSRP.

The Platinum trim is going to be the next edition with even more add-ons and features. Starting at $70,900, you get ventilated and heated seats not only for the driver and passenger but also for the captain chair passengers as well. Led lights, JBL sound system, Standard panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, rain-sensing blades, and a HUD bring the 2023 Toyota Sequoia Platinum trim to the competitor’s realm.

Now for the ones who love to get their tires a little dirty, I suggest you opt for the TRD PRO model which starts at $76,900 and only comes in 4x4. Don’t worry, you won’t be sacrificing comfort for rigidness. The TRD Pro comes with almost everything the Limited does, except Toyota adds on with some pretty neat off-roading capabilities. For instance, TRD badging everywhere. Seats, shifter, headrests side skirts, outside, you name it there is a TRD badge on it. Also, a ¼ inch thick skid plate on the undercarriage protects vulnerable hardware when scaling a boulder.

The TRD PRO also comes with some really nice software connected to your suspension to recognize what type of terrain you are on. All are controlled via a little dial on the center console which you can easily use. You get the classic TOYOTA grill and some nice exclusive wheels to go with it.

Now the creme de la creme of the 2023 Toyota Sequoia is the Capstone model. The Capstone gets the chrome treatment with chrome everywhere from bumper to grille to rear bumper. Even the 22-inch wheels get chrome as well. Luxury style perforated seats on the inside and a glamorous luxury feel all around.

American walnut dash makes this Sequoia feel like a 1960s Mercedes-Benz. LED moonlighting and some color choices like White, Wind Chill Pearl, Celestial Silver, Lunar Rock, Magnetic Gray Metallic, Blueprint, Army Green, Midnight Black Metallic, Smoked Mesquite, Supersonic Red, and the TRD-exclusive Solar Octane bring out the true aspects of this magnificent noble SUV. Exclusive for the Capstone only, acoustic glass is used to keep the noise out and make a perfectly quiet cabin to enjoy the ride.
