Sure, everybody wants to save a buck. Since we are talking oil filters here, I buy my oil filters from the dealership. For my 2009 Toyota Corolla, I bought factory oil filters. These are the cartridge type with a rubber O-ring included with every filter. The filters were 2 for $10.70. I couldn't buy these filters cheaper locally at other auto parts stores. Sure you could buy a cheaper filter, but it wasn't a Toyota. Been driving GM vehicles for a few years now. I get them at the dealership. I keep/kept the receipts for my filter purchases, both GM and Toyota. Thanks for these informative articles Timothy. We share the same hair color, but you have more than I.
