The Subaru WRX STI does it again and secures the Manufacturer’s Title in the Canadian Rally Championship. Its AWD shines again.

In Canada, the rally stages get challenging with the winter conditions, and Subarus are the vehicles with the traction to win. Subaru Rally Team Canada in the WRX STI delivered another impressive victory against tough conditions and competitors like Travis Pastrana in another Subaru WRX STI.

Subaru is known for its rally heritage and seven of the top ten spots, including a top five sweep, were Subaru vehicles at the Rally of the Tall Pines in Bancroft, ON. Subaru Rally Team Canada (SRTC) driver Antoine L'Estage and co-driver Darren Garrod took the top spot on the podium, and with the win, they score the Manufacturer’s Title for Subaru. The team also takes the lead for the Driver’s Championship with one race left.

L’Estage who switched to Subaru after many years in the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, won the rally by a margin of over three minutes over Pastrana and Durant in the SRTUSA #199 Subaru WRX STI who took second place. Rounding out the podium were Simon Vincent and co-driver Hubert Gaudreau in another WRX STI.

With this victory, Subaru will score the Manufacturer’s Title again, and on their way to a record-setting twelfth victory. Subaru Rally Team Canada in the WRX STI will finish out the season at Big White Rally in Kelowna, BC December 10-11. It should be a competitive new venue as Big White has a reputation for challenging winter conditions. It’s the perfect place for Subaru to show off the STI’s Symmetrical all-wheel-drive capabilities.
