Subaru has confirmed through their Japan website that a new 2017 Subaru Levorg STI hot hatch will be launched this summer. Unfortunately for performance fans, it’s only going to be offered in Japan. There is no word yet whether the Levorg STI will be available in Australia and Europe, the only other global markets where the Levorg sports tourer is sold. We do know, it won’t be coming to the U.S. market.

Subaru and Subaru Tecnica International (STI) have not revealed any other details about the STI hatchback, but its been reported that it will be powered by a 2.0-liter twin scroll turbocharged boxer engine that comes in the WRX. Details of the engine specs will be announced closer to dealer launch.
