Now This is a Much More Livable 2016 Chevrolet Camaro Rendering

Now that the 2015 Ford Mustang has been introduced to the world, our curiosity is focused on the upcoming 6th generation Chevrolet Camaro and today we look at a rendering that looks to me like something that could actually look like the 2016 Camaro.

Unlike the 6th generation Chevrolet Camaro rendering we checked out a few weeks back, this 2016 Camaro looks quite a bit like the current Camaro that is available in dealerships around the country. The greenhouse area appears to be fairly similar to the 5th gen Camaro and this baby blue muscle car even wears the vented hood of the 2014 Camaro SS to help feed what will likely be the same LT1 V8 as is found in the 2014 Corvette Stingray. The upper grille and headlight area is similar to the design seen on the newest Bumblebee Camaro for the movie Transformers 4 with high tech looking LED trim underlining a thin headlight setup that flow into the thin grille opening that connects the two light housings. The lower grille area is far more sculpted and honestly, I could see this part making it to the 2016 Camaro but the rest of the front end – including the fender shape and windshield lines – look like features that could see production.

Along the side, this 2016 Chevrolet Camaro rendering has a shape that is similar to the 2014 Camaro with an accentuated rear quarter panel sporting a set of slotted vents at the front edge of the wheel opening. This artwork contains an extra dose of sculpting in the lower door area and if you look carefully, you can see that the door “swoops” up towards the rear edge of the door glass. I wouldn’t expect that non-traditional door top line to make it into production but I could definitely see the flared quarter panels and a more aggressively sculpted side on the 2016 Camaro. This artwork also has some great looking wheels over what looks to be carbon ceramic brakes – both of which could be a feature of the next generation Camaro Z/28.

We cannot see the back of this 2016 Camaro but from what we can see in the image, it is feasible that the 6th generation Camaro could look like the artwork shown above. While I find the lower front fascia to be at least a bit too busy (I would expect something much more traditional in terms of lower fascia styling), this looks like a car that could be the 6th generation Chevrolet Camaro. While the previous rendering that we examined showed a 2016 Camaro form that was totally unrealistic, there are many features of the Camaro shown here that could show up on the production version of the next generation Camaro. This car looks quite a bit like the 5th generation Camaro but considering the popularity of the current models – it doesn’t seem out of the question for the 2016 Camaro take on a similar form to the current models.

There is no watermark on this image so we don’t know who came with this 2016 Chevrolet Camaro rendering but this image was posted online by the CamaroG6 Facebook page.

The only thing keeping the Camaro from being perfect in terms of design is the size. Make it 5/6ths its current size, use this body style and it would be prefect. Oh - and a paddle shift DSG, or similar modern transmission.

I love it. If the LT1 is added to the Camaro lineup the new 8 speed gearbox would be a hell of a option.
Making it small and lighter will give it tremendous performance numbers. If GM can add enough light wgt matl I would like to see it around 3400-3500 lbs. A ZL1 equipped with the new LT4 would be the ultimate 4 seat sports car. Build it and we will buy it.

the picture above doesn't look as good as the F15 fighter style one ..this one other than the F 15 styled is not as sleek and muscular as the F15 styled I would like to see the 2016 Comaro go away from the old dull and boxy body style....to a sleek, muscular more arodynamic body style.
