2017 Dodge Challenger, Charger Scat Pack models Get New Dynamics Package

Those folks considering a 2017 Dodge Challenger or Dodge Charger in R/T Scat Pack form can now add the Dynamics Package – which improves performance with a handful of components borrowed from the Hellcat models.

When Dodge introduced the R/T Scat Pack trimline for the 2015 Charger and Challenger, they had effectively created the ultimate budget muscle cars. With the 392 cubic inch Hemi from the SRT lineup delivering 485 horsepower and 475lb-ft of torque and prices starting below $40,000, the Scat Pack Challenger and Charger have proven to be major draws for those buyers hunting for big performance on a budget.

The only downside to the Scat Pack Challenger and Charger is that they don’t come with the big brakes from the SRT 392 and SRT Hellcat models, but that changes for the 2017 model year, as buyers can now add the Hellcat wheels, tires and brakes to their Scat Pack car for just $2,200.

The 2017 Scat Pack Dynamics Package
The Dynamics Package for the 2017 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack and the 2017 Dodge Charger R/T Scat Pack are pretty much the same and they each carry a price of $2,200.

The most noticeable feature of the Scat Pack Dynamics Package are the 20 inch by 9.5 inch lightweight forged aluminum wheels coated in a low gloss black finish. This wheel design is borrowed from the SRT 392 and SRT Hellcat models of each car, and they come wrapped in the same Pirelli all-season performance tires measuring 275-40ZR-20. The key difference is that for the Scat Pack Challenger and Charger, these wheels have the Dodge hashmark logo on the wheel center rather than the SRT logo.

These wheels replace the standard 20 inch by 9 inch Scat Pack wheels, which are wrapped in 245-45ZR-20 all-season performance tires.

Next, the Scat Pack Dynamics Package adds the front brakes from the SRT Challenger and Charger, with 6-piston Brembo calipers clamping down on 15” rotors – giving these muscle cars superior stopping force.

In adding the wheels, tires and front brakes from the SRT Hellcat models to the R/T Scat Pack variants of the 2017 Challenger and Charger, buyers get improved grip on launch, improved cornering and vastly improved braking performance in their 392 Hemi-powered Mopar muscle car – all for just $2,200. Also, while this is far less important, there is no question that the Scat Pack cars just plain look sportier with the SRT wheels and brakes.

For that price, getting the Hellcat wheels, tires and front brakes on the 2017 Challenger/Charger Scat Pack is a no-brainer.

I just bought a 2017 Daytona 392 and the package you describe is standard except for the wheels. The Daytona has its own style of 9.5 20" rims and fitted with the exact same brakes and tires.
