Ford Mustang enthusiast were more than excited to participate in the Little Rock, AR 2015 Toys for Tots cruise.

Participating in the local Toys for Tots cruise was a great way to give back to the local community and help children in need. The objectives of Toys for Tots are to help needy children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation's most valuable natural resources - our children. The organization unites all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and contributes to better communities in the future.

Arkansas Street Machines is a car club established in the 60’s and is based out of central Arkansas. The club promoted this year event for Toys for Tots and encouraged all the local car clubs to attend.

Arkansas Street Machines representative stated the following:

“On November 6th, Arkansas Street Machines was approached by Bar-B-Cruise to help coordinate the 12th Annual Toys for Tots Cruise. This is the best car related event in Arkansas, in our opinion. We get as many cars as we can, and load the trunks with toys to donate to the Toys for Tots Organization. It is a big cruise to Toy Hill (Clear Channel Metroplex), where the Marines and ROTC collect and load multiple trailers full of Toys. We were honored that we were even asked to help with this event. We were also worried, because it was our first year working on this event, gave us less than a month to get everything coordinated, and advertised. In the course of a month, we were able to reserve a meeting spot, coordinate over 200 cars, and lead a cruise to Toy Hill.

We had drivers from all over. Even West Memphis, show up for just to participate in the cruise and donate toys. This delivered over 400 toys to kids in need in the state of Arkansas. It was amazing and inspiring to see how the car community could come together in less than a month, to help deliver a Christmas to kids who would normally not have one. We even had a person participate that was able to pay it forward, from when the Toys for Tots organization helped them years ago. We have already started planning for next year and want to make this the biggest car event in the state.

Our car club cannot thank everyone enough for coming out, supporting, participating, and creating some Christmas Joy for all those kids.”

Participating in the event was a great experience and put everyone in the holiday spirit while also being able to talk cars. Car clubs came in representing what it means to be a car club and a car family. When it came down to it, every club there was there for the sake of the children. Can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday than to give children happiness and enjoy the car scene all at once.

The Ford Mustang community is like a family, and it showed when we all came together for a good cause.
