Dodge Charges Into the Future With 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona EV Muscle Car

Dodge unveiled its all-new EV muscle car, with big news for horsepower fans. Eventually, the performance cars will also be released with gas-powered engines.

Dodge has unveiled its powerful new 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona muscle cars and the new lineup has something for every high-horsepower lover. The all-new, all-electric 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona delivers up to 670 horsepower and is expected to reach 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds, retaining its title as the world’s quickest and most powerful muscle car. Plus, the performance car division of Stellantis will eventually have gas-powered models of the Dodge Charger that will have up to 550-horsepower.

“The electrified 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack delivers Charger Hellcat Redeye levels of performance and announces its presence through the world’s first Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust, while Hurricane engine-powered Dodge Charger SIXPACK models will give the Brotherhood of Muscle a gas option that produces better horsepower and torque numbers than the outgoing 5.7- and 6.4-liter HEMI engines,” said Tim Kuniskis, Dodge brand chief executive officer – Stellantis. “The next generation of Dodge muscle has arrived.”

Fans have been waiting to see the all-new muscle car since the EV concept was unveiled in August of 2022. The new versions look strikingly similar to the concept. In a video conference previewing the debut, Tim Kuniskis told reporters that the all-new EV has been “Hiding in plain sight all along”, he said “The concept was the real car but no one knew it.” The Dodge Charger Daytona EV has been prominently displayed at a number of car shows and other events.

The numbers on the new EV are impressive. The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack, with its 670 horsepower, will cover the quarter-mile in 11.5 seconds (estimated) and is still unsurpassed in quarter-mile elapsed time (ET) of any muscle car.

In addition to the Charger Daytona Scat Pack, there will also be a less powerful all-electric Charger model, called the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T, with 496-horsepower. For fans with a greater need for speed, 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona models will feature standard Direct Connection Stage kits for more horsepower, when the vehicles launch.

The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack and 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T will be the first all-electric vehicles from the Dodge brand. The vehicles will be built on the STLA Large Frame at the Windsor, Ontario, Assembly plant.
