Detroit Grand Prix fans first to view Acura TLX GT in action

The much anticipated HPD powered Real Time Racing 2015 Acura TLX GT will debut in May 30-31 at the Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix. We believe that the TLX will catapult Acura to the next level in customer appreciation.

Based on the soon to be released 2015 Acura TLX, the TLX GT powered by Honda Performance Development and modified by RTR will arguably take Acura to the highest level of customer appreciation and subsequently increase retail sales. That’s the plan.

This collaboration reunites HPD and long-time associate Real Time Racing of Saukville, Wisconsin. Real Time Racing is headed by team owner, driver and 7 time World Challenge champion Peter Cunningham. HPD is the winning-est engine builder in modern Motorsports.

As the Pirelli World Challenge series marks its 25th year, Honda and Real Time Racing will compete against the greatest names in domestic and world market performance cars.

RTR has raced and won with Acura and Honda products for 27 years. HPD founded in 1993 as the race development arm of Honda Motor Company; counts 204 race victories in Indycar, and can state a 100% reliability record as to no motor failure related race dropouts. That’s just a very small corner of HPD’s trophy case.

Torque News Honda took a close look at the TLX earlier in the month. We believe the combination of advanced SH-AWD all wheel drive system and the 3.5 liter twin turbo V6 to be a reliable winning combination.

However, as stated by Cunningham, the assembled field of entrants in this years GT series “ looks to be more competitive and diverse than at any time in the series history.” He looks forward to the challenges that lie ahead.

We look to Acura and Real Time to dominate the U.S. leg of the Pirelli World Challenge.
