BREAKING: Tesla Launches Two Factory Cybertruck Color Options – Matte black & Satin White

Tesla has launched two new Cybertruck factory color options – matte black and satin white. According to Tesla’s online configurator, these options cost an extra $6,500.

After 4 years and 9 days, Tesla has finally handed over the first Cybertrucks to paying customers. Not only that, Tesla has also held a live-streamed delivery event where the company shared the Cybertruck’s final specs.

Thanks to the live stream and updated Cybertruck online page, we know a lot about the truck. Some new things we learned included the presence of a “Range Extender” that increases the Cybertruck’s range from 340 miles to 470 miles.

Tesla’s website did not give us details on the “range extender”. However, Elon Musk has clarified the details of the new option including where and how it’ll be installed and what its function will be.

Additional details we learned about the truck included the various trims, the Cyberbeast, pricing, range, acceleration, and many more details.

Some of the things we learned about the Cybertruck were in line with expectations and others were a bit of a shock however, a couple of hours after the Cybertruck delivery event, Tesla launched a new and exciting Cybertruck option.

As is obvious by now, the Cybertruck is made out of ultra-hard cold-rolled stainless steel exterior. Not only that, the vehicle has done away with paint altogether and the only Cybertruck finish the truck will be produced in is exposed shiny stainless steel.

This is exciting, however, given the fact that Tesla plans to produce hundreds of thousands of Cybertrucks, offering only a single exterior color option could cause an issue in the long run.

However, Tesla appears to be cognizant of this fact and to address this issue from the beginning, Tesla has launched two new factory color options.

Since the Cybertruck’s stainless steel is difficult to paint, Tesla has offered the color options as a wrap service. Introducing the feature Tesla writes…

DESCRIPTION:

TESLA COLOR PAINT PROTECTION FILM FAQ:

NOTE: PURCHASE PRICE INCLUDES COST OF MATERIALS AND INSTALLATION. CURRENT PARTICIPATING TESLA SERVICE CENTERS INCLUDE WEST COVINA AND CARLSBAD, CA.

According to Tesla’s website, the two color schemes will cost you $6,500 which is in line with other wrapping services offered by third-party detailing shops.

This is certainly exciting however, the one drawback is that this wrap service is not done at Giga Texas and that currently there are only 2 Tesla stores both in California that provide this wrap service.

We also don’t have the more exciting camouflage wrap options we’ve seen Cybertruck prototypes driving around in. Having said that, it’s still very early days for the Cybertruck and there is always the chance Tesla could add more exciting color options in the future.

Currently, this is all the information we’ve regarding the Cybertruck color options, however, we’ll be sure to keep you posted when we learn more about Tesla’s plans. Until then, make sure to visit our site torquenews.com/Tesla regularly for the latest updates.

So what do you think? Surprised to see Tesla launch color options so quickly? Which one is your favorite the matte black or the satin white? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
