Subaru wants you to do more adventures and have more fun while your’e doing them in their all-wheel-drive vehicles. do Motorsport is the new team name for Australia’s return to rally racing in the 2016 Subaru WRX STI. do represents a new brand direction announced today in Australia as Subaru seeks to attract a young active generation of consumers to the brand. Molly Taylor will be behind the wheel of new STI rally car as it gets a new name and livery for Subaru Australia.

A new do brand ambassador

Molly Taylor is the new do brand ambassador as she pilots the Subaru WRX STI rally car in this season’s 2016 Australian Rally Championship campaign. Rally fans will get to see the 2016 STI with the iconic World Rally (WR) Blue color scheme in a mock-up seen in the picture above. The team’s All-Wheel Drive WRX STI’s livery will also draw on modern inspirations reflecting the active lifestyle of Subaru’s customer base. An experienced co-pilot

The new female driver will pair with an experienced co-pilot. Molly will get a navigator who isn’t so new to rally racing. She will be paired with one of Australia’s most experienced co-pilots, Bill Hayes. He has previous experience with Subaru, having been Dean Herridge’s co-pilot before Subaru Rally Team Australia disbanded in November 2005.

Les Walkden Rallying in Tasmania will be managing Subaru do Motorsport and is busy with an intense build going on now. They are getting the new 2016 Subaru WRX STI ready now for the season-opening Quit Forest Rally scheduled for April 22-24 in Western Australia. Next, Taylor will need to get some serious kilometers in the car before round one next month. Hayes has an advantage and has plenty of experience on the uniquely challenging surfaces south of Busselton where they will test the new STI rally car.
