Eco-performance is coming

There is a new term called eco-performance that is coming from the Japanese automaker. The new eco-performance technology can be seen in the Mitsubishi Concept XR-PHEV that will make its North American debut this month in LA. Mitsubishi says the sporty SUV will come with an “optimally honed body that reveals sophisticated sensibility.” They say this new athletic SUV “creates driving pleasure with its whole body.” But what is eco-performance?

Eco-performance technology

From the outside, the new Mitsubishi Concept XR-PHEV comes with an attractive athletic body with dynamic front-to-side character lines. It will feature Mitsubishi’s newly developed FF-type Plug-in Hybrid EV System and will also come with a more advanced active safety technology. Mitsubishi says the new sports SUV will use Connected Car technology, that delivers excellent agility, safety and “eco-performance.” It’s being developed for a new generation of urban buyers who want a dynamic and spirited driving experience. This technology from the Japanese automaker has been developed in their high-performance race cars like the Outlander PHEV at the Asia Cross Country Rally 2014 and the MiEV Evolution III at Pikes Peak.
