The all-new 2014 Mazda6 teaser video number three

Mazda has released the third teaser video for the all-new 2014 Mazda6 with a deep red color called “Soul Red.”

The all-new 2014 Mazda Mazda6 teaser video number three has been released and it shows a lot of red. Mazda calls the new color "Soul Red". The car looks very similar to the deep red color of the Takeri concept car that made its North American debut the New York International Auto Show in April. Mazda says the new Mazda6 will use a new innovative paint process to get the deepest red possible. Mazda says, “we are able to capture both the deepness and vividness of the color, highlighting the cars sleek design.”

We know the new Mazda6 will be based on the Takeri concept that is Mazda’s latest expression of the company’s recently introduced Kodo design language. Mazda defines the expression as “soul of motion” and based on forms expressing coiled, potential power. That can be a good thing when it comes to car design. Kodo design came from the mind of design chief Ikuo Maeda in the Shinari concept car, shown in Milan in August 2010.

Mazda has been releasing snippets of video and giving us a sneak peak at what the redesigned mid-size sedan will look like. At least Mazda has been releasing the videos close enough together and not keeping us waiting too long. We do know that the new Mazda6 will get the latest SKyActiv engine technology.

Mazda6 will have SkyActiv technolgy

The technology uses their new-generation 2.0-liter engine with the latest direct-injection. The new technology uses ultra-high compression ratios in the combustion chamber to produce more power and deliver efficient performance. Mazda engineers had to overcome premature burning of the fuel which causes the high compression engine to “knock.” The powerplant will be powered using the latest fuel-efficient direct-injection. It’s the same engine that motivates the 2013 CX-5 and was the first Mazda vehicle to get the new fuel-sipping technology. If the engine remains the same, it will develop 155 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque.

The third video below shows the rear quarter panel and rear trunk area of the all-new 2014 Mazda Mazda6. Its vivid color and its shape are starting to look good. Have a look for yourself in the 27 seconds of teasing in the video below.
