5 Things to Know About the 2024 Toyota RAV4

The 2024 Toyota RAV4 introduces exciting updates, blending style, performance, and cutting-edge technology. Here are five key highlights to keep in mind:

The Toyota RAV4 is one of the most popular SUVs on the market, and for good reason. It's reliable, versatile, and fuel-efficient. The 2024 model year doesn't make any major changes to the RAV4, but there are a few new things to know about it.

1. Aesthetic Enhancements:

The Woodland Edition now boasts superior off-road capabilities with added front skid plates. Embrace a bold look with black elements, including mirror shells, door handles, and a trim on the tailgate. Notably, the Woodland and Trail versions offer the stylish choice of Khaki Green, with Trail allowing customization between a black or mocha interior.

2. Powerful Gasoline Engine:

The RAV4 offers three powertrain options, all featuring standard all-wheel drive. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine delivers 203 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. Paired with an eight-speed transmission, it offers a towing capacity of 1,500 lb (680 kg), rising to an impressive 3,500 lb (1,588 kg) for the Trail trim. Available trims include LE ($32,950), XLE ($36,650), XLE Premium ($38,690), Trail ($40,350), and Limited ($44,550), with fuel efficiency ranging from 25 to 35 miles per gallon.

3. Efficient Hybrid Option:

The RAV4 Hybrid enhances fuel efficiency with a 2.5-liter engine and two electric motors. Offering a combined power of 219 horsepower, this hybrid achieves a remarkable consumption range of 6 to 6.4 L/100 km. Towing capacity reaches 1,750 lbs (795 kg), and it comes in eight trims, including the Woodland Edition and Limited, ranging from $35,750 to $46,110 MSRP. 4. Plug-in Hybrid Excellence - RAV4 Prime:

The RAV4 Prime stands out as a popular plug-in hybrid, providing an electric range of 68 km and a quick 2.5-hour recharge time. With a combined power of 302 horsepower, it can tow up to 2,500 lbs (1,134 kg). Available in three variants (SE, XSE, and XSE with Technology Package) with prices ranging from $50,950 to $61,180 MSRP, it even qualifies for both Canadian provincial and federal grants (if you are in Canada), totaling $10,000.

5. Advanced Technologies:

The RAV4's interior is equipped with a user-friendly dashboard featuring a 7-inch or 12.3-inch digital monitor. The multimedia system includes an 8 or 10.5-inch screen, supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Audiophiles can enjoy the premium 11-speaker JBL audio system. Safety is prioritized with the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 suite, offering features like lane-keeping assistance and a pre-collision system with pedestrian and cyclist detection.
